How to hit High Fastballs, and Question About Hitting.?
By · CommentsWell, not trying to make excuses, but I hit well last year in Varsity Baseball, and summer ball i had a high batting average, but everytime i went to the batting cage, and tried to hit something on 70(the machine is only 19 or so feet away). so everytime i tried to hit 70mph i couldn’t hit it. But when i stepped out on the field i hit well, and the pitchers were pitching 75+ to 80. And it wasn’t just a fluke because i hit well in both leauges, but when i go to the batting cage I can’t hit high fastballs. IDK the guys that hit well in the batting cage couldn’t preform that well in the real game and had low batting avg’s. Not trying to brag or call anyone out, but do you think the batting cage is a false sense of security? And also I have trouble with high-strike fastballs.

A: YES INA HEARTBEAT. Lee’s pitching well and will have a good season but he wills start to cool off. He won’t win 20gms and you get 2 studs in the deal
Should I drop Willie Tavares for Andruw Jones
No. In Tavares you get a ton of SB and the added power from Jone’s isn’t much. Jone’s has ben awful since the beginning of last yr, isn’t hitting for AVG, isn’t hitting for power and has been dropped to 89th by Torre. Tavares looks good and is a more reliable player
Should I drop Orlando Cabrea for Stephen Drew or Erik Aybar
No. Yes the O-Dog has started slow but Drew and Aybar are also inconsistent and the O-Dog will come aaround. He’s a doubles machine and youget more value b/c you can also play him at 2B
Should I trade Nate McClouth for Eric Byrnes
No. Well Byrnes will rebound I like
start McLouth’s had I don’t think he’s gonna slow down. You get a little bit of everything w/both but I gotta good feeling on McClouth. Better now. If you make the trade you aren’t crusifying yourself but I wouldn’t
